WEST KRUISKADE

During RCNY's big street celebration, there will be all kinds of things to do on the West Kruiskade. From 13:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m., the street will be closed to traffic. Many cozy market stall can be found in the street.
Small stages scattered throughout the street host performances. Watch the traditional awakening ceremony where the lion is brought to life or be amazed by performances by stilt walkers, musical performances, liquor dancers, kung fu workshops for children and much more. In four stationary streetcars, there is all sorts of things to do for young and old.

TRAM PROGRAM

Streetcar 1: Ceramics workshops, made possible by China Cultural Center The Hague. Paint your own bowl in style of Chinese porcelain.
Streetcar 2: The artist Lili Zhou is waiting for you and your family in a festive World Museum streetcar. In the streetcar, you can enjoy various creative activities to teach you more about Chinese culture. Print your own dragon with special stamps on Chinese rice paper. Or make lucky charms for in the wishing tree.
Streetcar 3: Young Asian Leaders offers young artists with Asian roots a stage in two unique streetcars on Kruiskade. Walk through the streetcar exhibition and bid on the works on display. We will put the winning bid in contact with the artists. Photos, paintings, photo prints, zines and glassware. It promises to be a special walk through the streetcars.
Streetcar 4: Tyler Chan and Ito Collective provide a streetcar full of pictures, where you can also take your own picture, or participate in a bingo or art project.

AWAKENING CEREMONY TIENDPLEIN

On the main stage in Tiendplein, the lion is awakened during the spectacular awakening ceremony.

MAIN STAGE PROGRAM

The main stage will host performances from a variety of disciplines. Music, dance, children's activities, there will be all kinds of things. The program is provided by Shinji Entertainment and Chi Connect.
